The North 13 March 2009

The summer of 2006 saw The North open up to audiences in Barrow playin various covers and their own tunes in the pubs and clubs on the Barrow music scene. However, after a good 6 month break and a small change in personnel the band began to concentrate on writing more of their own songs. their is excitement in each of the tracks written, with a vast array of influences and an excellent live setup.... The North are confident that they will not dissapoint. A demo was done on the 15th of september at the Coach House Studios in Ulverston. This was done for people to get a picture of the bands sound and possibly to attract some gigs. A new recording consisting of newer, fresher material is now available. Having recently won The Canteen/ Evening Mail Battle of the Bands The North have some exciting gigs lined up including a support slot for The Sunshine Underground and also with Them Is Me at Manchesters Dry Bar. but first is a gig this friday at the kings from 20:30
